The TRP Grey Street Classroom was setup to provide rangatahi a safe comfortable space for rangatahi no longer attending school or need extra support to get engagement and learn how to positively interact with their peers and local business communities. The aim is for rangatahi to have a desire to engage and particpate in learning if not attending school (truant) or have been expelled from school and have no where else to go, they may also be on a waiting list for alternative education in Tauranga. Some rangatahi may have learning difficulties or have diagnosed or undiagnosed conditions such as FASD, ADHD, AUS or an intellectual disability. We are not a alternative education or school and there is limited to no funding. We aim to fund rangatahi at Grey Street Classroom by TRP Communications.
Using our Whanaketanga Programme helps rangatahi want engage in learning about themselves but also in numeracy and literacy through researching, completing activities in modules and learning to critically think.
Through completing their modules rangatahi are producing quality learning outcomes and positive work ethics in completing in their learning modules.
Rangatahi learn to trust their intuition and broaden their creativity skills. This is achieved with
